Capstone Project....the end....

I would have to say that my capstone presentation went very well, I was very passionate about my topic and my judge really liked it. I think the thing that probably helped me the most was that I was seated next to the veteran affairs office which had my gallery, so it was very easy to show her my end project. Only one thing went wrong with my presentation and that was my internet stopped working and I wasn't able to show my judge my video. So I probably should have been prepared for that.

Senior Project Presentation

I probably going to take pictures of how the gallery went, and show them to the judges. So I will probably make a powerpoint, or maybe a video.
Timeline
1st: take to the head of veteran affairs at richland and the head of brazos gallery
2nd: take to the veterans and find some that are willing to be part of the gallery
3rd: find someone to take pictures of the veterans and have them blown up
4th: pick a day
5th: make a video and powerpoint for the presentation

Critique of Website

I feel as though, my website is kind of plain, and I should add more texture to it. I also need to align it more. But my color scheme is good.

I would give benefits to all veterans. Things like prestiges jobs, etc. 

For myself I would make a man who was a mix of Chandler Bing off Friends and Marshall off How I met your Mother...and then marry him.

Veterans come into society "delusional " and they find it hard to cope, it is our responsibility (US citizens) to help them, by firstly, not being ignorant to their problems.

It conveys the problem, and how it can be solved. A video or a picture could probably show this faster.

Capstone Project Poster

THEME:TONE:

My project, on some level is suppose to invoke a somber tone. It will probably have colors that either instill somberness or be patriotic (blue, white, red). Photos will primarily be of veterans or pictures that represent what they go through. This theme will consistent through the video, poster, and website. The website will probably be more educational.

If we were a movie?

1. What would be established or introduced?
- Well it would start out showing Veterans in combat and then them coming back to the states with the  problems they can face. (PTSD, Alcoholism )
2. What process?
- It would show the art gallery with Veterans and Students.
3. What would be resolve?
- It would show Veterans in classes with their peers, interacting with others.

Ron Paul: the vEtErAn

One of the candidates of the 2012 presidential election, is Ron Paul, an air force Veteran. He has a commitment to veterans and their families. He recently has held an rally to salute veterans.  He believes in taking care of veterans before and after war. He believes in giving them benefits and honors. He has said that, he wants his military to be sent well prepared into war. In my paper, I discussed that the reasons that some veterans go through psychological and economic problems, is because the government does not take care of them. Most of our homeless are past veterans, and maybe if Ron Paul becomes president, we will have fewer veterans struggle upon returning to society.

Statement of Intent

I'm a Senior in the Richland Collegiate High School. I intend on majoring in Political Science/International Relations. I really enjoy meeting new people and traveling. I would like to become a Diplomat and work abroad. In a sense, I would like to secure the well being of U.S citizens abroad, and help keep U.S. relations with other countries stable.
My senior project is called "Heroes Amongst Us". It was created to reduce the ignorance in the Richland College about Veterans. Veterans who risk their lives for us, come back to society and have a hard time coping. They go through medical and psychological problems. By the end of the semester, I would like to create an "art show" with pictures of veterans on campus and kind of write a short introductory story on them. Their story will include things like what they went through in the war and how they are doing now. This project will help veterans, and their peers at Richland College.
The project also connects to the Richland triple bottom line: Social, Economic, and Environmental dimensions. In the social sense. It helps create a friendlier and more accepting environment for veterans.
